HR Generalist.

You will have the opportunity to utilize your analytical skills when reviewing information in the form of data, collective bargaining agreements, legislation, policies, and procedures, which will inform your ability to provide effective answers; problem-solve solutions; provide in-the-moment training and consultation; apply your technological skills to ensure that records are accurately created and maintained; provide exceptional service to a wide variety of individuals; and cultivate a career path by developing new and growing current knowledge, skills and abilities. Additionally, you will build an understanding of all areas of HRS; as well as the culture and needs of the individuals who work at the University of Montana and our sister campuses in Butte, Dillon and Helena.

Required Skills

Communicating effectively orally and in writing with a wide variety of individuals with diverse backgrounds

Providing exceptional, professional customer service in all situations and settings

Developing and maintaining positive, professional, trust-based relationships with colleagues

Learning, understanding and communicating a wide variety of information

Using, and learning to use, integrated information systems, word processing, spreadsheet, email, database software, and new software

Performing basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions

Prioritizing workloads, being organized, multi-tasking, and managing time effectively

Paying attention to detail in order to achieve the highest level of accuracy

Using sound judgment, problem-solving and troubleshooting

Addressing unclear situations and information positively, openly, and thoughtfully

Maintaining complete confidentially with all personnel/payroll information discussed, processed, and received

Analyzing information and determining an appropriate course of action

Learning, growing, and developing work knowledge, skills and abilities

Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week),

Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 12 months/year.

Salary:

$17.693/hr

Probationary Period:

Six months minimum
