Hospice Volunteer Manager Jobs

A hospice volunteer manager works without regular pay in a variety of healthcare settings, usually under the supervision of a nurse. A hospice volunteer manager acts as a member of the hospice program to provide companionship to people living with serious illnesses and to help their family caregivers in a variety of ways. A hospice volunteer manager provides direct service to the unit of care in the home or inpatient facility, provides home visits when necessary, and is also available for after-hours contact. A hospice volunteer manager focuses on caring, not curing, and in most cases care is provided in the patient’s home. A hospice volunteer manager coordinates volunteer services to meet the volunteer needs of the hospice program and hospice unit of care.
