Collaborate with Recruitment Manager in ensuring timely preparation and distribution of job postings, utilizing the agency’s automated applicant database and other mechanisms, as required.
Recruit and screen applicants for vacant positions.
Refer qualified applicants for vacant positions to hiring managers.
Conduct reference checks on potential new hires.
Prepare, track, and distribute job postings.
Participate in events associated with recruitment, such as job fairs and other events.
Conduct visits to program sites to meet with employees on employee morale initiatives.
Provide information on recruitment activities for reports as needed.
Participate in ad hoc personnel management and recruitment projects, as requested.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required, with at least one year of experience in human resources field required.
Work experience in human services setting highly preferable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact and communicate with diverse populations.
Ability to use a computer and perform tasks using MS Office applications and capacity to gain expertise in working with HR information system databases.
Ability to work independently and complete tasks according to assigned deadlines.
Ability to manage shifting priorities and multiple tasks.
Ability to travel around the five boroughs of New York City.
