Social Worker I/II/Sr- Childrens Protection Program(1.0 FTE, D/E) Job ID2018-27093Area of Interest Social Work/Behavioral Health Location Name 70th & SPW Admin Offices FTE/Hours per pay period 1.0 FTE (80 hours per bi-weekly pay periods) Work Status Regular Department Childrens Protection Program Shift Day/Evening Shift Overview Seattle Children's Protection Program was established in 1990 with a commitment to improving the health and well-being of children by addressing the issues of child maltreatment, neglect and intimate interpersonal violence. Our SCAN (suspected child abuse and neglect) clinical team includes child abuse board-certified physicians and social workers with expertise in child abuse and neglect and in intimate partner violence. Our mission is to assure that children who are suspected of having been abused or neglected receive the best care and protection using a multidisciplinary, evidence-based clinical care model. The SCAN social worker Acts as the primary social worker on serious child abuse/neglect concerns taking the lead of the SCAN doctor; completes protection assessments for physical abuse; sexual abuse, and neglect concerns Provides management consultation of complicated high-risk or neglect concerns to the primary psychosocial provider Provides consultation to psychosocial providers to assist in whether to report to CPS/law enforcement, or if other less-restrictive alternatives may be considered, including meetings with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) Facilitates SCAN case conferences on serious physical abuse/neglect cases; includes Seattle Children's clinicians, CPS and law enforcement Facilitates MDT reviews on complex medical neglect cases as requested by Seattle Children's staff Requirements Seeking a Social Worker I or II or a Senior Social Worker I Required Education/Experience: -Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a school of social work accredited by the Counsel on Social Work Education. -Two(2) years of Child Welfare/similar experience. -Ability and flexibility to work evening, night, weekend shifts, and holidays as well as provide on-call coverage. Required Credentials: -Currently licensed in Washington State as a Licensed Social Work Associate Independent Clinical(LSWAIC). Preferred: -Current clinical social work experience in acute healthcare settings. -Multidisciplinary team experience -Protective Services experience -Mental Health experience -Multilingual -Experience in a Healthcare or clinical setting focusing on children and families Social Worker II Required Education/Experience: -Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a school of social work accredited by the Counsel on Social Work Education. -A minimum of 4 years of current clinical social work experience in an acute care setting (may include internship hours). -Ability and flexibility to work evening, night, weekend shifts, and holidays as well as provide on-call coverage. Required Credentials: -Currently licensed in Washington State as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). Preferred: -Current clinical social work experience in acute healthcare settings. -Multidisciplinary team experience -Protective Services experience -Mental Health experience -Multilingual -Experience in a Healthcare or clinical setting focusing on children and families Senior Social Worker Required Education/Experience: -Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from a school of social work accredited by the Counsel on Social Work Education. -A minimum of 3 year
