Profile

Assists the Victim Program Services Manager in planning, organizing, developing, implementing and directing all primary functions of programs within the Victim Witness Services Unit.
Research, identify and apply for local, state, federal grant funding sources for specific projects and programs. Develop a grants administration work plan, which includes goals, objectives and measurable workload indicators to support grant narrative reports and outcomes.
Develop budget and financial report documents in collaboration with program and fiscal staff.
Provides direct supervision for victim witness unit employees and conducts annual employee performance evaluations.
Represents the Unit and the District Attorney's office at various local and state meetings and / or activities, including performing public speaking relative to victim services issues, Fast Track Domestic Violence Program and DA Office Volunteer Program services to community and law enforcement agencies.
Ensures that all court divisions have adequate coverage specific to victim advocacy, VRA compliance and witness management services for scheduled court hearings for DA Office locations at Adams and Broomfield Justice Centers.
Serves as primary contact and resource for daily on-site Justice Center operations regarding Victim Witness Services Unit advocacy services for victims and witnesses and witness management services for deputy district attorneys. This includes oversight of technology information systems development, implementation and updates which are directly related to the activities of VW Unit advocate personnel responsibilities.
Recruits, screens, trains, monitors and evaluates daily activities of volunteers and interns providing direct services to victims at the both Adams and Broomfield County Justice Centers.
Serves as a primary resource for the District Attorney's office regarding the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and procedures for Fast Track Domestic Violence Program. This includes volunteer program services, victim / witness and criminal justice system process issues related to the prosecution of domestic violence crimes.
Direct support and assistance to victims/witnesses of crime, by telephone or in person; may include provision of direct services in the course of ensuring adequate courthouse coverage for Unit operations.
Bachelors degree in criminal justice, social work, human services, public administration or related field.Two years of managerial experience demonstrating the ability to train and supervise paid and volunteer personnel in a criminal justice and/or community based victim services program.
