Description As a College Summer Program Volunteer, you would be supporting a specific area in the hospital which could be a Nursing Unit, Surgical Unit,\u00a0Transport, Total Joint Program, Security\/Administrative Support just to name a few. Your hours would be four (4) hour shifts either in the morning or afternoon 3-4 times a week. Please apply only once on line\u00a0- openings are limited and application does not guarantee placement. \u00a0 Some areas of focus are listed below: Nursing\/Surgical or Total Joint Volunteer: As a Nursing\/Surgical or Total Joint Unit Volunteer, you would provide heart centered comfort rounds and act as a liaison and communicate with patient\/family\/guests. This volunteer position would include bed-side support, answering patient call lights, supporting the nursing care team with errands, assisting with Physical Therapy sessions maintaining a safe environment and assisting with discharge of our patients. Transport\/Information Desk: As the Central Lobby Information Ambassador\/Transport Volunteer, you would be the primary greeter for front lobby desk, transport patients and provide heart centered customer service to our patients, families and guests, way finding, assisting with reception function. This position maintains exceptional customer service and professionalism in accordance with organization standard practice. Security\/Administrative Support: As an Administrative Volunteer, you will provide support to a specific Non-Clinical Department. This would include providing office, clerical and resource support for your specific department assignment, and way-finding for our patients and visitors.
