Serve as a link between the home, school, and community, facilitating productive communication.
Open cases for Behavioral Health Services which will include conducting Biopsychosocial Evaluations, Initiating/Certifying Treatment Plans, and making necessary referrals for services.
Incorporate assessment data into reports that include the parent's perspective, educationally relevant recommendations, and performance objectives.
Provide individual, group and family counseling.
Supervise School Social Workers and Master's Level practitioners.
Assign and supervise cases for therapy in the schools.
Respond to crises in the schools and perform Baker Acts, as necessary.
Advocates for compliance with student and family rights and responsibilities.
Other duties, as appropriate.
Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited college/university.
Licensed in the State of Florida. Must be current and in good standing.
Two years of experience working with children/adolescents with serious emotional and/or behavioral issues.
Must complete social work training through M-DCPS.
Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as, written and verbal communications.
Valid and current Florida Driver's License
